Anchor of Hull Fundraiser
October 3, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Anchor of Hull will host its first on-site fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 3, from 2-6 p.m., when Pastor Kurt Gerold, director of services, will speak about the mission of the agency.
Also at that time, a family whose members have been using The Anchor’s services will share their story about their path from addiction and homelessness through recovery and the purchase of their first home.
The fundraiser is open to the public for $20 per person, including a meal, raffle prizes, and access to the center at 7 Hadassah Way.
There will be a motorcycle run to support the event. For those who would like to join the run portion, it will leave from Plymouth-Cordage Park in Plymouth at 2 p.m. and is expected to arrive at The Anchor just before 3. The run will be led by the Last Chance – Clean & Sober Motorcycle Club.
The Anchor describes itself as providing a safe, sober, and supportive environment for building community, wellness, and recovery. Established just a few years ago, the agency, offering supportive services and free events, has been able to reach more than 2,000 families and individuals since its establishment.
(During the coronavirus pandemic, The Anchor continued to provide its services.)
